MUNICIPAL WASTE – Slime and Punishment

Delivering 14 cuts in a whirlwind 28 minutes, "Slime and Punishment" wastes no riff or quick-hitting transition in its crossover thrash appeal. Expanding to a five-piece as second guitarist Nick Poulos (Bat, Vulture) enters, punky efforts like "Enjoy the Night" prove the youthful energy hasn’t subsided, while the gang mentality launches "Shrednecks" into future set list highlight, the half-time mosh transition essential for body flying, pit piling good times.
Tony Foresta shifts between the Sam Kinison scream roar and a sadistic mid-range that all thrash, punk, or hardcore mavens can relate to – his best work coming through on the Sacred Reich-ish "Poison the Preacher" and bass propelled "Low Tolerance". Knowing when to push the accelerator tempo-wise or when to lay back into melodic-oriented grooves is key to Municipal Waste not wasting any second or any part – making "Slime and Punishment" another killer record from the group.
