A split 7" limited to 500 copies, this is a true treat for fans of Dew-Scented and Angelus Apatrida. It’s important to see where a band comes from as far as their roots, and both bands willingly put that out there on this release. Dew-Scented choose to recover a Vio-lence song "World in A World" from the fine "Oppressing the Masses" album, and it’s not surprising that this thrash song stands the test of time. Also appearing is a re-recording of "New Found Pain", originally appearing on the band’s 2003 "Impact" album. Benefiting from a heavier production, the intensity of this cut still resonates today.
Angelus Apatrida choose a live version of "Serpents on Parade" from this year’s "Hidden Evolution" album, plus an interesting 50’s throwback to cover "Johnny B. Goode"- the double bass and heavier tone giving the track a bit more energy while not sacrificing the lyrics and licks that have made this a worldwide classic.
Get it while it’s hot.
