Skepticism are back!
The originators of true funeral doom are back. It has been seven years since the finnish powerhouse of sadness and sorrow released their fourth full-length "Alloy", a masterpiece in slow and melodic funeral doom.
2015 sees Skepticism release another formidable output "Ordeal" and the pioneers off just incredible sad (in a good way) funeral doom have used the last 7 years well.
This is no "Stromcrowfleet" (their fantastic debut from 1995), but it is 77 minutes of atmosphere, a lot of good riffing and a vocal that shrieks of despair and anger.
The gentlemen of Skepticism still know how to make good music and this is a album you must check out this fall (even though I think the added audience clapping does not fit in in the overall picture).
"Ordeal" is another nail in the coffin of funeral doom.
