Some people say that black metal, or metal in generally, is not about musicianship but attitude. I couldn`t aggree more with that, but Gate To Khaos got both attitude and good musicianship. A lot of mad riffs mixed together with mad vocals gives the album a dark and cold atmosphere. Gate To Khaos got members from other bands, like the drumer (Trish), who has played together with Nattefrost and Nordavind.

 

The vocalist does a great job with her angry, desparate and madly growling. The only thing thats turns it a bit down is the clean-vocal part on track number five. But that’s the only that I didn’t like about this record. Track number eight is the one who is most diffrent from the others on this record because it has a industrial sound that makes me think of Christian Death and Lover of Sin. Still it would have been wrong to call this goth because its certantly not goth.
