LABRADOR – The Intruder In Your Eyes

Not sure if I would name my band Labrador, no matter what kind of music I was planning to play. But hey, that’s me! Anyway, what we have here is a one-man project from Oslo, the man behind it all is a guy called Felipe Pavez, who has composed and also done all vocals and instruments on this EP. The album is also recorded, mixed & producedat Doghouse Studios.. (Get it.. Labrador… Doghouse..)
 
The EP contains 3 songs, Labrador wishes to express themselves as an ‘urban underground hardcore’ metal band, probably a half descent description, but you also need to add heavy influences from sludge and post-metal. I really like the first two songs, which are very atmospheric and groovy, and really shows this projects potential, and if you are into bands like Neurosis and similar, Labrador is well worth checking out. Keep your eyes open for the debut album, set for release around sometime in 2012.
