Tenth studio album for these Canadian speed metal merchants, "Death Machine" suffers from a primal poor production and even more basic hooks. Kenny Winter may have the strength of mighty men in his screams, but the songwriting isn’t much removed from warmed over punk extended to metal timeframes. Songs like “Razor In Your Back” and “Hellfire” have furious tempos without really taking the listener anywhere beyond material any average metal band could write in their sleep.
I’ll stick to "Violence And Force" or "Heavy Metal Manic" for my Exciter memories.
