"a simultaneously energizing and enervating experience that more than justifies UT's position in the upper echelons of contemporary doom." – TERRORIZER
"This is DOOM, unbridled fury an unrefined disgust. Music for the end of the world." – ROCK-A-ROLLA
"Surely ones to keep things interesting, UNEARTHLY TRANCE have managed to retain the essential aspects of all that is chilling doom, whilst pushing a different driving force behind it." – ZERO TOLERANCE
"gravelly sludge and doom with a heavy debt owed to the Obsessed." – DECIBEL MAGAZINE
"Brooklyn trio Unearthly Trance is like the Melvins-meet-Venom hopped up on Maker's Mark, and their latest, The Trident, leaves burns." – AUSTIN CHRONICLE
"The Trident proves Unearthly Trance would still rather crawl through the muck of human misery than rock out; songs such as "You Get What You Want" and "Wake Up And Smell The Corpse" indicate the band's rage is mostly directed outward. (Note to Khanate: You have some competition in the utter-despair sweepstakes.)" 4/5 – ALTERNATIVE PRESS
"The Trident stands as the trio's best record yet. Highly recommended." – STYLUS MAGAZINE
"This shattering wingnut of doom hurled me into oblivion." – THRASHER MAGAZINE
"heavily distorted doom that says to hell with the genre's rules. The Trident runs as much as it crawls, making the album a dynamic and exciting listen. UNEARTHLY TRANCE will tickle your doom metal g-spot" – OUTBURN
"…This is art that's built from deep-seated misanthropy, the kind that takes a lifetime to perfect." – VICE Magazine
