SLOVENIAN ALTERNATIVE / METALCORE BAND HEI’AN ARE BACK, THIS TIME WITH A SENSUAL YET STRIKING “BADDIECORE” SINGLE TITLED ‘PIERCING BLUE’:
Still riding the wave of success from their recently released sophomore record ‘Kiss Our Ghosts Goodbye’, Hei’An are already back with ‘Piercing Blue’, a new standalone single showcasing the band’s constant tendency to evolve and experiment with their sound, while retaining the unique sonic common thread they’ve been known for since the band’s inception.
“This song is a further step in the evolution of our sound – we’ve had a lot of electronic elements and poppy melodies in our music before, and with this one, we just wanted to sort of continue that wave and see where it takes us, regardless of any genre limitations. Lyrically, it’s very much a ‘baddiecore’ song, exploring the feeling of temptation and the urge to fight it, for the first time ever through the eyes of a character that will heavily mark the new Hei’An era,” says Blagonič (frontman).
