ELECTRICJEZUS — “ИСПОЛИН” (COLOSSUS) (2025)
Electricjezus is a sludge/doom duo formed in 2012. The project has released four full-length albums, two split EPs and has appeared on various thematic compilations.
On December 1st, 2025, Electricjezus unveiled their new album “Colossus” the band’s most cohesive and concept-driven work to date. The album is built around a single idea: to portray the cycle of human life through the lens of the philosophy of pessimism: from birth into chaos, through decay and confrontation with absurdity, to a slow reconciliation with one’s fate. Slow heavy riffs, raw production and a forceful, screaming vocal performance amplify the direct and uncompromising lyrical themes, creating an intense mix of catharsis, dread and purification.
Creation Process
The album took five years to complete and was recorded across three countries:
Russia, Dmitrov (2020) – drums and bass recorded at Go!Monkey Studio, a
long-time home for the band.
Chile, Santiago (2024) – guitars recorded at Estudio del Sur, vocals recorded
at Clorinda Willshaw.
China, Shanghai (2025) – final mixing completed in a home studio.
The geography of the recording process reflects the album’s internal theme:
movement, fragmentation, migration and the search for self within the chaos.
