THISISEVILPETE – new album out

Independent South Wales based artist releases his old school thrash metal album about zombies. The artist is involved in various projects, loves playing guitar and writing songs, so if you like old-school thrash songs with dumb lyrics about zombies, you’re in luck here.

Here’s a bit of q&a from the artist, that might clarify some of the details:

Old-school thrash songs about zombies? Yep, it was an idea I had, write an album’s worth of thrash songs about zombies. Just for the heck of it. I had the intro (Death Is Not The End) lying around for years and I never really knew what to do with it, so that was my start. 10 sets of really, really dumb lyrics written over 2 nights, then I recorded the music and somehow managed to fit all the words on all the music. Apart from the 1^st track, that doesn’t have any lyrics. But it does have a few odd time signatures.

The cover is… Yes, it’s terrible. And glorious. I’m going for the ‘best, most worst album cover ever’ and I think I’m in with a shout. I tried loads of other approaches, but they were all a bit naff and cheesy. I drew this in about 1 minute and I really like it, though, much more than any ‘proper’ cover ideas I tried.

Bit of background: I’ve played in about a hundred bands you’ve never heard of. I started the Black Sabbath tribute band Sabbath Bloody Sabbath in 1998, kept that going, on and off. Played in various tribute and originals bands but this album is all me. Except for the drums, I programmed them.
