Introduce your band, and describe your latest release:
We are Hollow Zoo from Las Vegas, we just released our debut album “T.V. Static and Hate” which is 10 songs of madness, rage, hope, resistance, and dangerous living.
What’s the hardest part about being a band in this day and age?
Probably just the fact that it
When did you realise that your project had the potential to be much more than just a fun idea?
There is a thing that happens to musicians and bands sometimes where you will write something that gives you goosebumps, we collectively had a few moments like that, where we all just felt so locked in and excited about what we created.
Tell us about your latest release, why should we check it out?
Our latest release is our album “T.V. Static and Hate”. It’s 10 songs and it features a guest appearance by Tim Cottage of AHTCK (L.A.) on the track Die Over There.
As for why anyone should listen to it, we could be one of their favourite new bands, but they won’t know if you don’t give us a chance.
How does a song typically come together for you?
Usually someone brings a riff or idea to the band and then we start by figuring out the structure form there. Once we get the music where we all like it we work on vocals and fine tuning our individual parts.

How would you describe your sound to an unfamiliar reader?
Well I think one reviewer said it better than we ever could in this quote
“intense, melodic, cunningly crafted, and undeniably addictive to listen to. They have the right mix of energy and accessibility, without detracting from the band saying what they wanna say the way they wanna say it, or sounding hard as f@$% at the very same time” – Sleeping bag studios
What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your band?
That they had a good time listening to it. We hope they enjoyed listening to our songs or watching our videos for whatever reason they did.
Where would you really like to tour that you haven’t done so yet, and why?
Anywhere. We spent so much time in the studio the last couple years crafting this album that we are ready to get out and showcase these songs live.
How would you say that the sound of your band has progressed over the years?
The addition of our vocalist really changed the dynamics of the band and allowed us to make the last jump from ideas to fully realised songs.
How excited are you for 2025, and what can fans expect from you?
2025 has been great so far and we are excited for the second half of the year. We have a comic book coming out along with the album and we have several more music videos in the pipeline. We will be announcing some opening slots with some bands we really love, for later this year, very soon.
