ANDERS L. RASMUSSEN – interview

What’s the hardest part about being a band in this day and age?

Standing out in the digital noise and maintaining momentum without major label support is a real challenge.

When did you realise that your project had the potential to be much more than just a fun idea?

When the songs started to take form. When there was enough strong song to potentially have a future release —something cohesive, with its own voice and identity.

Tell us about your latest release, why should we check it out?

It’s a personal song, both lyrically and sonically. If you’re into music that values storytelling and atmosphere over polish, I think it’ll speak to you.

How does a song typically come together for you?

Usually it starts with a line or a mood—something that hits emotionally. Then I’ll build around that with acoustic guitar, lyrics, and eventually arrangement ideas.

How would you describe your sound to an unfamiliar reader?
Melancholic but melodic. Somewhere between americana, singer-songwriter and atmospheric rock—with an honest, unfiltered edge.

What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your band?

I hope they feel something real. Maybe they hear part of their own story in it—or just find a moment of calm or connection.

Where would you really like to tour that you haven’t done so yet, and why?

It’s still early days. So – Anywhere. Just played a couple of gigs. There will be more the next months.

How would you say that the sound of your band has progressed over the years?

From the beginning of this project three years ago to now, it’s become more honest. Less about fitting into a style, and more about serving the song—letting vulnerability lead the way.

How excited are you for 2025, and what can fans expect from you?

Very excited. I’m working toward a full-length album coming out in November, and fans can expect new singles, more live shows, and a deeper dive into the sound I’ve been developing.
