Emerging UK alternative rock crew, DETROIT RUN, plough forward with the launch of their enticing new EP, Defiance – Part 1, which is out on Friday 30th May. The powerful quartet have also revealed their soaring new single and video, Tightrope

With a handful of festival appearances already under their belts, DETROIT RUN are poised to step up. Dishing up a sound that is drenched with massive riffery, huge choruses, and astute electronic tones – DETROIT RUN have the skill and determination to reach the forefront of the UK’s buoyant music scene.

Born in late 2022 and featuring Tom Haywood (Vocals), Gary White (Guitars), Nathan Dillon (Bass Guitar), and Wes Cunningham (Drums), DETROIT RUN come at you from Liverpool, England, and soon hit the ground running with their debut EP, Room 14. The release emphasised the band’s craft and real potential, mapping the path for their 2023 singles, Maniac, Worst Enemy, and the ultra-catchy cut, Sleepwalker. With a slew of strong releases behind them, the assiduous quartet arranged their own successful UK tour which concluded in a sold-out headline show. Further live performances followed including shows with Japanese titans, Jiluka, as well as a desirable place at this year’s Winter’s End Festival.

DETROIT RUN are now loaded with their fiery new EP, Defiance – Part 1. The band remark about the release “‘Defiance’ is what we believe alternative rock is in the modern day. We have blended titanic rock and electronic synth into a signature sound that we can’t wait to share with the world.”
