The renowned and skilled Robin Trower (formerly of Procol Harum) has been rather prolific these past ten years or so, and this upcoming eleven-track effort of his sees the blues rock veteran deliver a solid and enjoyable set of catchy tunes.

With his lovely laidback and occasionally restrained vocals on top of those classy and inimitable riffs that only he could weave together, there is simply no mistaking this for anything but a Robin Trower record. Thick and juicy grooves, passionate guitar wizardry, melancholy moods, and a highly potent rhythm section that binds everything together, Robin is clearly having a great time here, and his melodic sensibilities are as impressive and prominent as ever throughout. There are few truly sublime songs on the disc, but the overall quality of the material never waivers and nothing is below par or even mediocre, which makes Come and Find Me a cohesive, robust, and highly likable offering that carries plenty of raw emotion.

The old master is in fine form and there is obviously a lot of creative mileage left in the tank yet, which is something that we should all be thankful for.
