The third single from their forthcoming album “Terra Inferna”, comes after the success of their two previous singles “Ghosts” and “Witch Hunt”. These tracks boasted additions to “Breaking Metal” on Apple Music and accompanying music videos. These Sydney metallers continue to hone their craft, presenting their most extensive work to date, cementing their place at the forefront of Australian death and thrash metal.

The band’s signature driving riffs and crushing heaviness has seen them captivate metal fans around the world, giving fans a breath of fresh air in modern metal. “Hell on earth” gives fans a glimpse into their most comprehensive collection of songs yet, on “Terra Inferna” Flaming Wrekage will be making their mark on the global stage in 2024. Their powerful repertoire continues to take shape, as this new collection of songs gives fans an insight into the darkness that informed them. The lyrics and themes on offer provide an opportunity for a deeper connection with fans, with themes of loss, anguish and ultimately hope on display.

A track defined by grief, loss and anguish. “Hell On Earth” informs the album art for “Terra Inferna” as we see a lone traveler with a long, perilous road in front of him. In the distance however, a beacon of light is just visible through the uncertainty of the fog.

Lupton comments, “Writing this was immensely difficult but at the same time therapeutic. Songwriting for me is a way to tackle the darkness. While this one is deeply personal, I think a lot of people will be able to take something from this and feel validated. Even down to the recording of this song, we created a dark space in the studio. It was just me alone with these lyrics I had written and finally a way to get them out in the way I had intended. It was like a weight had been lifted, screaming those first few lines out.”

2024 couldn’t have started stronger for Flaming Wrekage. A string of Australian headline shows and a well reviewed single, has given the band the opportunity to share the stage with one of Swedens most revered acts, Katatonia. This just shows how diverse the band’s songwriting can be. Being billed with bands outside of the thrash sphere, yet still having the songs to captivate a fan base such as Katatonias is a rarity in modern metal and a challenge that this Aussie quartet are more than ready for.

Ten years in the game brings with it a sense of maturity. Unbound by any defined genre of metal, Flaming Wrekage is a force stronger than the sum of its parts. Bringing a staggering range of influences to the table, the Sydney quartet create a sound that transcends the typical sub genres of heavy music. With three full length albums in the bag, this is merely the tip of the spear for these Aussie metallers.

Their take-no-prisoners attitude and fierce live show has enthralled audiences throughout Europe, Indonesia and Australia. They’re no strangers to sharing stages with metal royalty, having opened for the likes of Soilwork (SWE), Unearth (US), Power Trip (USA), Omnium Gatherum (Fin), and Psycroptic.

“Terra Inferna”, due out early 2024, showcases the band at its most accomplished, occupying the space between thrash, death and stoner metal with seamless prowess. The release of this album puts their loyal fans at the centre of the action, with more opportunities than ever to get up close and personal with the band themselves. This direct to fan attitude, continues through the live circuit, where the band will undertake their most comprehensive touring schedule yet.

2024 promises to be the biggest year yet for Flaming Wrekage. Armed with “Terra Inferna” they will stop at nothing to deliver the most powerful shows metal fans have ever experienced, cementing their place at the forefront of Australian heavy metal.

Step into a world where control has been ripped away, and your thoughts and actions are at the mercy of an unknown beast. This is “Witch Hunt” – a relentless journey through the uncertain darkness of the mind. With this blistering track, Flaming Wreckage sets the tone for their most accomplished work yet, defined by a characteristic blend of mosh pit inducing thrash and soaring melodies.

With “Witch Hunt,” Flaming Wrekage bursts through the gates with a new statement of savagery. The track takes the bull by the horns in what can only be described as a relentless display of thrash/death metal. Luptons vocals set the tone, “Crucified on the surface of the sun” being the first line. Arguably one of the more brutal ways to start an album. This gives way to pummelling riffs and a driving rhythm, taking the song into a strong, harmonious chorus. This is all before Juzz Humphry fires off a ripping guitar solo, complete with his signature melodic flair.

The first single from their yet to be announced new album, comes after the success of their previous full length “Cathedral Of Bones”. The album saw favourable reviews from Metal Hammer Germany, Metal.de and The Rockpit whilst the lead single “Running Blind”, propelled the band into various editorial playlists, including Spotifys’ “Thrashers” and Deezers “Thrash Legacy”. These Sydney metallers continue to hone their craft, presenting their most extensive work to date, cementing their place at the forefront of Australian death and thrash metal.
