Japanese instrumental rock trailblazers MONO and Spanish film collective Alison will preview their unique narrative-fusion live music film entitled “Live Pilgrimage in Madrid” at a number of screenings in the EU following sold out US dates.
An ambitious and captivating live film based on the band’s acclaimed 11th album ‘Pilgrimage of the Soul’, the story is centred on a young woman who awakens from a strange omen. The visions of the end of time and desolation; a figure wanders around until it lies dead. This anomalous sensation guides the young girl through a city to a place where she will find peace she longed for. MONO’s music accompanies this mourner’s pilgrimage through dreams and time.
The film was shot in its entirety in Spain, featuring a full live performance, from the band’s 11th album European Tour 2022 in Madrid.
EU MONO screenings will also host a very special preview of new label mates i Häxa. An innovative multimedia project due to be released via Pelagic Records in 2024, those attending the screenings will be the first in the world to experience this hugely ambitious and exciting piece of work.
