Introduce your band, and describe your latest release:

We are a London based new wave pop rock band formed on zoom over lockdown to write emotionally charged music that stirs the soul of man….or something like that anyway. 😉

Our latest release is called The Dark Within and is all about a trip through two depressed people trying to find a way out. I get to play the grim reaper in the music video. A very important tick on my bucket list ever since watching Monty Pythons salmon mousse sketch in the meaning of life.

What’s the hardest part about being a band in this day and age?

When did you realise that your project had the potential to be much more than just a fun idea?

When we found our singer, Hugo. For me a singer has write amazing vocal parts, sing brilliantly, have charisma, be someone you click with and have a distinctive sound to their voice. Needless to say I actually thought we would never find that special someone….but we most definitely did!

Tell us about your latest release, why should we check it out?

For me it is the pick of this first bunch of 6. It is a twisted pop rock 80’s emotional deep dive into heaviness and anger. For anyone who has been to the rock bottom of depression you will appreciate the meaning behind the song I think.

How does a song typically come together for you?

First we come up with a load of ideas and the make a note of their tempo’s and keys. Then throw them into random songs we don’t have bits for until it makes a song. Then Hugo sings random sounding words over the track which we re-write down the road together. It is an odd one, but hopefully people agree it works.

How would you describe your sound to an unfamiliar reader?

It is like Simple minds and Duran Duran found a Einstein light speed warp drive, came to the future to get some influence and modern musical tools from Don Broco and Emarosa and then went back in time and wrote a few songs called Good Time Locomotive.

What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your band?

A huge emotional hit! For us if it doesn’t leave you in tears of joy or sadness then we just don’t bother releasing it.

Where would you really like to tour that you haven’t done so yet, and why?

Everywhere! We are brand new and plan to play shows like our lives depended on it asap.

How would you say that the sound of your band has progressed over the years?

This is our first year releasing music. However, a founding member and originator of much of the current songs has since left, but we have great new writers on board in this line up so I am very hopeful the next batch of songs will be even better.

How excited are you for 2023, and what can fans expect from you?

Well 2023 is nearly over! However, we have released 6 songs and we plan to release 7 next year, play shows and write an album to put out in 2025.
