EDGE OF FOREVER – Seminole

Italian hard rockers/heavy metallers Edge of Forever are back with a new opus, and let it be known that I am thoroughly impressed with how melodically strong and energetic this record sounds. The songs and lyrics revolve around Native American culture and what awaits you are an abundance of hooks, great guitar solos and even greater riffs, and some superbly arranged compositions.

The LP is quite heavy in many ways and comes across as an inspired and focused effort where the tunes are delivered with class and confidence. Keyboards provide atmospheric textures and Alessandro Del Vecchio’s vocals are perfectly tailored to the tracks in that there is both elegance and power to his voice. These epic pieces possess a really good flow and I must say that “Seminole” kept me genuinely intrigued and interested throughout. With a solid production that packs a punch and some varied songs that offer excitement and passion, this one is a most welcome addition to the record collection and a noteworthy entry in the Frontiers catalogue. Check the majestic “Made It Through” out and pay attention to the emotive vocals or the earth-shattering main riff that is to be found in “Another Salvation” – fucking marvelous! The Dio-esque “Wrong Dimension” is another highlight and the four-part title track is a bloody good conclusion to the proceedings. Easily their finest work yet.
