JANNE JARVIS – Nightline

JANNE JARVIS – Nightline

Former Warrior Soul bassist Janne Jarvis quite recently unleashed this 7-track album of his entitled "Nightline" upon the unsuspecting masses and I must say that this is not without its merits or moments. Stylistically and musically, "Nightline" blends alternative rock with electro rock. On top of that, different traits and elements from industrial metal and darkwave are woven into the mix and the whole thing works rather well.

The songs have a sense of pomp and power to them and the vocals suit the material nicely. Also, both the production and musicianship are solid all the way through. The melodies are catchy and the tunes are generally varied and contain some cool twists and turns, but the strong focus on writing memorable tracks is intact from start to finish. There is nothing overly dramatic or complex to "Nightline"; it is merely a solid and enjoyable slab of dark electro rock with some wicked hooks and interesting nuances to it.

Not to be missed if you are into some of the aforementioned genres.
