The bands journey started way back in 2007 when Tuomas and Niko, who both were beginner guitarists decided to join forces with a vision of creating a band playing the music they loved most. For a two years the band played covers from melodic death metal bands and also created original material. During this time there were constant lineup changes and the band broke up in 2009. So for several years the beast waited silently until Tuomas, Niko and the bassist Ville started to wake it up again 2013. It didn´t take long until drummer Tom decided to join and the band , quitting his former Hard rock project to pursue his passion for more extreme music. Tom quickly caught up with the band but not long thereafter Ville moved from town and the band played as a 3 piece for little over a year until bassist Pasi joined the band. Pasi had to quit the band a year later but during his stay in 2015 the band recorded their first demo and also played their first gig. Things really started to kick off when bassist Stefan joined the band in 2015. So in the spring of 2016 we recorded the four track EP Enemy in the mirror. Thanks to better production the EP was a huge step forward for the band. After being digitally released in at the end of August 2016 the EP even generated a small hype in underground melodeath circles and created new fans all the way in US, Mexico and Japan. So now 9 years and a couple of live gigs and studio sessions later the vision is finally taking form and Ruins of Humanity is ready to take on the world by brutal, aggressive, melodic music and energetic, chaotic live shows. New gigs are on the way, and new tracks are ready for future recording and release so you definitely haven´t heard the last of us. We´re just getting started…
