DEATH – Scream Bloody Gore 2 CD Reissue

This is a pretty hard reissue to review. One, because ‘Scream Bloody Gore’ is one of the fundamental records of extreme metal. I mean, what can I tell you about it? If you haven’t heard it/owned it/played it, you are very likely on the wrong site. Other than that, you already own and love this seminal album. So nothing I say at this stage can influence that.

Secondly, because in recent years, the people at Relapse have been extremely busy milking the cash cow of Death/flogging the dead cow of Chuck Schuldiner’s legacy. They have re-released everything they could get their hands on, including everything by Mantas. If you have been keeping up with those releases you already have a library of excellent Death demos and practice materials. I know I do – but the problem is that by this stage I already have about 4 different versions of Evil Dead, Legions of Doom etc etc. I don’t actually need any of disc 2 of this re-release at all…
