BILLY SATELLITE – II

BILLY SATELLITE – II

Shelved for 30 plus years due to label shuffling, Billy Satellite reunited for a show at Slims in San Francisco, CA on January 31st, 2010 – pushing interest along for this material to finally see the light of day. The five-piece play a guitar-oriented brand of melodic rock – very much in line with early Night Ranger, early Orion the Hunter, and a tinge of Rick Springfield to these ears. Certainly 1980’s oriented in terms of the electric drum overtones and keyboard tone choices, moodiness makes "Secrets in Her Heart" memorable, beyond the catchy opener "You and Me in the Night" and guitar fueled "Honesty".

Most well-known for a song on their debut album that was a big hit for Eddie Money later in the 1980’s "I Wanna Go Back", this is ideal for those who want another taste of what made melodic rock so chart topping and heartwarming during those classic days.
