A 5 track, 13 minute recording from New York City technical death metal band Pyrrhon, "Growth Without End" is a crazed snapshot into a locomotive unit assaulting the senses through maniacal vocals, frantic drumming, and multiple guitar/bass angles that combine grind, death, and intricacy. The first quiet moment takes place around the half way mark of "The Mass", track three… and its building momentum sets the stage for the next Doug Moore screamfest while guitarist Dylan DiLella serves up high neck dissonance.
Mind altering for sure, not for the squeamish or weak of heart – Pyrrhon excel at making semi-sense of a sound that can be part cement mixer, part anguish and yet 100% true to their beliefs.
