MALTHUSIAN – Below The Hengiform

Malthusian hails from Ireland and unholy f**k their good.
Their MMXIII demo (released, yes you guessed it, in 2013) was a formidable piece of blackened death metal but when received the EP "Below The Hengiform" my jaw dropped. Cold, unforgiving death in the familiar veins of Portal and Ævangelist, you just know you´ll like it. Production is great, the sound is clear but foggy and you´ll hear the riffing very well in the ocean of blastbeat that dragges the music forward. Vocal is as expected, not all that unique but it works well with the arrangements Malthusian have chosen to present their formula of death.
"Below The Hengiform" is three tracks of grizly bear scary death metal with a lot of black on top.
Malthusian is one of 2015´s "look out for" bands and it´s comfortable to know that this genre have bands like this to keep it dead (pun intended).
