DANKO JONES – Fire Music

Canadian alternative rock with a punk edge on the 7th studio album from Danko Jones. Serving up quick hitting anthems that waste no time getting out the ear pleasing tempos, thumping bass, and on the edge dirty riffs, you’ll get 10 songs in 32 minutes. For every conventional, mid-tempo offering like "Wild Woman" or "Live Forever", you are sure to get an up tempo head cracker in return with "The Twisting Knife" or "Watch You Slide". And then you get the slinky, bluesy numbers that have a little bit of that AC/DC oriented attitude, like "Getting into Drugs" just to give your ears another dynamic side as a breather.
I love the tongue twisting speedy word patter within "Watch You Slide" that also allows the rhythm section a little bit of spotlight action – as the trio can certainly jam with the best of them. "Fire Music" keeps Danko Jones in the hearts of their fans – electric, and firing high on all cylinders.
