ANNHILATED – XIII Steps to Ruination

Annihilated is a brutal death metal trio from Los Angeles, California – starting in 2010 and releasing an EP entitled "Injected" in 2012 prior to this 11 track debut album "XIII Steps to Ruination". Lyrically tackling open thinking and hard hitting topics on "Global Enslavement", "Eradication Profits" and "For the Ignorant" differentiates them significantly from the typical gore/ horror topics employed often in this genre. Musically the band aren’t as technical minded, preferring to be very mid-tempo and almost groove oriented in a Florida manner but can spit out the blast beat cuts when necessary – chunky riffing and accents along with a steady locomotive rhythmic pummeling make "This Fear I Speak Of" and the high pitched action for the short instrumental "Wastelands" proven winners.
"XII Steps to Ruination" will please most ardent death metal fans of the US variety.
