MOON LAND – Moon Land
A studio project featuring the female voice of Lenna Kuurmaa from pop/rock act Vanilla Ninja. That band being on hiatus, Frontiers president Serafino Perugino wanted to pull together a melodic rock record with some of the best musicians and songwriters he could assemble and cast her beautiful singing to a wider berth of fans. Alessandro Del Vecchio handles the keyboards and production duties, and they even gain a West Coast music veteran in Bruce Gaitsch for the nylon guitar – but these 12 songs are fairly safe entries in a field very crowded to gain attention and stick out above the norm.
"Crime of Love" and the explosive, harder rocking closer "Another Day in Paradise" stood out to the good- otherwise this is another female fronted melodic rock project that doesn’t distinguish itself from Issa or Alessandro’s work with Hardline, and does the world need another average record given the volume of releases to hit the streets today?
