TANKARD – R.I.B.

Who could write 3 decades of albums about the frothy suds and allegiance to beer? German thrashers Tankard make a living at their love of all things alcohol related, cruising into their 16th studio record with "R.I.B." … "Rest in Beer". A party atmosphere permeates material like the punky, up tempo "Fooled by Your Guts", straightforward rocker "Breakfast for Champions" and closing anthem "The Party Ain’t Over ‘Til We Say So".
You are either in a love ‘em or leave ‘em camp when it comes to Tankard. I have to be in the right mood to take in most of their albums, as it is decent thrash but nothing innovative or ground breaking. As such "R.I.B." will be another record to spin once or twice a year and little more.
