SLIPKNOT: tredje headliner klar for Download 2013

We can officially reveal that Slipknot will be returning to Download next year, headlining the Friday night of the festival.

This huge news marks the band’s second headline appearance following an explosive set in 2009.

They join fellow headliners Iron Maiden on Saturday 15th June and Rammstein on Sunday 16th June.

"Slipknot’s last appearance at Download has gone down in the festival’s history as one of the best ever headline sets," said Download promoter Andy Copping. "God knows what they’ll have in store for 2013 but I’m looking forward to seeing how they’ll top the last one."
