DR. LIVING DEAD! – Dr. Living Dead!

16 songs in 36 minutes? Crossover thrash with a decidedly American slant for this quartet from Sweden. Gang vocals straight from the old Anthrax school, musically songs like “Slime From Above”, “Dead End Life” and “Feeding The Cyco” blend the best of Nuclear Assault, Suicidal Tendencies and Slayer into quick hitting 1:19 to 3 minute bursts of energy. Enjoy the cymbal four counts, the stop and start bass/ guitar action, and Dr. Ape’s cynical, sarcastic punch-line vocal delivery – channeling Sean Killian on “Chucky” but otherwise very similar to Mike Muir from Suicidal Tendencies.
Others may be reinventing the genre – Dr. Living Dead! are content to re-live the late 80’s crossover madness where punk, hardcore and thrash audiences came together as one. Come along for the entertainment factor alone, these Swedes rock!
