DEGRADEAD – A World Destroyer

Sweden’s Degradead throw down the gauntlet to the In Flames/Soilwork melo-death sweepstakes with their third album “A World Destroyer”. All the requisite jackhammer riffs, clean choruses, lightning quick twin axe harmonies and multi-layered screams/ growls make songs like “Human Nature”, the slower (but equally stomp approved) “Near The End” and snake biting “A False Hope” hit all the right brain to limb movement channels.

Sometimes you bypass originality when the performance, tightness, production and songwriting are all eclipsing standard levels. Degradead shouldn’t have any trouble sneaking into the hearts of melodic death fans with this one, easily the best in their catalog.
