Portland, Oregon thrash metal from Excruciator, “By The Gates Of Flesh” is a quick hitting 5 song EP. This young foursome go for the throat in their raw attack with songs like “Nuclear Exmortis” and “Malevolence Impure”. The blistering vocals from guitarist Chris Birkley match the Dark Angel meets Slayer-like intensity. Good for a few spins, but one hopes they shave off the obvious influences and work harder with the follow up on blazing their own thrash trail.
