DEATH: The Sound Of Perseverance 3-Disc Re-Issue Streaming Online For A Limited Time


The re-mastered re-issue of DEATH‘s seventh and final album The Sound of Perseverance is streaming online now at the official DEATH Facebook page. The audio for the deluxe 3-disc set will be streaming at that location until the re-issue’s North American street date of February 15th.

The Sound of Perserverance has been completely repackaged to include new artwork (viewable here) as well as liner notes from the original cover artist Travis Smith. The re-issue also features expanded liner notes from DEATH guitarist Shannon Hamm and never-before-seen photographs from The Sound of Perseverance era. The special 3-disc deluxe version of the The Sound of Perseverance re-issue is available pre-order at this location with photos of the packaging. A digital version is also available for pre-order through iTunes.

This month’s Decibel Magazine has devoted 12-pages and one striking cover to an all-encompassing oral history on DEATH and its founder Chuck Schuldiner. This exclusive feature includes in-depth interviews with Schuldiner’s parents, former DEATH manager and current Schuldiner lawyer Eric Greif, support musicians from all of the DEATH recordings, and industry insiders who saw the band develop into its now legendary status. This highly-collectable issue of Decibel (March 2011, #077), is on newsstands now or can be purchased at this location.

Additionally, Guitar World Magazine is currently hosting a contest in conjunction with the re-issue of The Sound of Perseverance offering a BC Rich Chuck Schuldiner Tribute Stealth guitar. One of the most recognized of Chuck’s guitars, this sleek neck through body, pitch-black Stealth also features jumbo frets, beveled top style, and Dimarzio X2N pickups. DYING FETUS: New Re-Issue Tracks Posted Online

DYING FETUS has posted the re-mastered versions of "Kill Your Mother, Rape Your Dog" (taken from Killing On Adrenaline) and "Grotesque Impalement" (taken from Grotesque Impalement) online now via the band’s MySpace and Facebook pages. These re-mastered tracks come from the series of expanded DYING FETUS re-issues being released this year.

DYING FETUS recently saw the re-issue of their 1995 demo collection Infatuation With Malevolence and debut album Purification Through Violence in January. Both albums are streaming online now in their entirety at and are available at the following locations: Purification…, Infatuation…. The re-issues have been re-mastered, re-packaged to include new liner notes and never-before-seen photography, and bonus tracks.

Re-issues of 1998’s Killing On Adrenaline and 1999’s Grotesque Impalement EP are set for release on March 1st. DYING FETUS’ "Your Treachery Will Die With You", from the band’s latest album Descend Into Depravity, is now available on the Rock Band gaming platform. "Your Treachery Will Die With You" can be downloaded to the Xbox 360 gaming console through the Rock Band Network or online at this location. There is also a more advance version of this song via Rock Band that utilizes the double bass pedal available here.

DYING FETUS are about to embark on their last headlining tour in support of Descend Into Depravity as the headliners of the 2011 Bonecrusher Fest. This last tour before they begin work on a brand new album will also include KEEP OF KALESSIN, CARNIFEX, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, and ANGELUS APATRIDA.

RABBITS ‘Lower Forms’ Streaming Online; Announce West Coast Tour Dates

RABBITS are currently streaming their Relapse debut Lower Forms online now via Lower Forms will see its North American release next Tuesday, February 15th, on CD, 12" vinyl, and digitally. The CD is available for pre-order at this location, and a deluxe digital version featuring three bonus tracks and digital booklet is available for pre-order through iTunes. In addition to the band’s record release show on February 19th in Portland, OR, RABBITS has announced a run of west coast tour dates in support of Lower Forms.
