No albums from Opeth or Septic Flesh this year, but still a few albums to pick from, and not an easy choice. Still, Enslaved’s ‘Axioma Ethica Odini’ stands out for me as this years best album, as this band continues to surprise and impress,
and manages to mix extreme and progressive music into something totally unique.

Best Concert/ Festival of 2010
 
Karmøygeddon Metal festival. As it was last year. And as it probably will be next year. Why? The nicest people in the world combined with great atmosphere and great bands. Simple as that.
 
Biggest Surprise To Me in 2010
 
Motorpsycho in Folken, Stavanger, march 23 2010. Not very interested in going, never been into Motorpsycho. And it ended up as one of the best concerts I have ever attended. Heavy metal? Hell yeah!

Favourite Band of All Time
 
Kiss. Those guys are the main reason why I’m into music. Don’t like them that much today, but the magic from the earlier days will never fade.

Peace on earth and new albums from Opeth & Septic Flesh…. (2 out of 3 is acceptable…)
