Possessed Demoness is a girl with problems. For a start, judging from this release, she’s not too happy to be alive. The whole album reeks with her despair and her often stated wish to "Depart this Life". The second problem is her ‘voice’, which works sometimes, while at other times it would strip the varnish from a coffin. There are clean vocals, which actually work ok, but some of the shrieking is like a drill to the head, and is way too high in the mix.
The music is pretty typical lo-fi Finnish BM played with a ‘depressive’ edge. One thing that did work for me was the personal nature of the lyrics but on the whole the songs weren’t strong enough and the voice is just too much of an obstacle. Not one that I will listen to again.
