DRUDKH – The Swan Road (re-release)

This is a monotonous, melodic, but rather bleak, almost-an-instrumental, affair. It’s one of those that do nothing for you but you don’t hate it either.

And vocals, well, they are in Russian. I pass on free shit (freemetalalbums.com) on the net when sung in Russian all the time, so why should this be different? Russian language and metal just don’t mix in my opinion. It’s too sweet, maybe suitable for gothic rock, but that’s it. Imagine effectiveness of a German lullaby. The baby will probably stay awake for a long, long time, due to harshness of the language. Unlike me, who’s actually falling asleep whilst listening to Drudkh.
