Cerebral Fix – English thrash/death metal band formed in Birmingham in 1986. They became members of the UK thrash metal and death metal scenes through four albums, three of which were on major labels before finally disbanding in 1993. In 2006, the band announced its reformation. They have an album's worth of new material, but for now they are waiting for the reception of the new songs. Frank claims that they are interested only in having fun, as they did in the beginning of their career. "It could last a few months or a few years" – says Healy – "Who cares? Cerebral Fix are enjoying it, so join the rollercoaster for a bit!"
Today Metal Mind Productions presents re-release of the band's second studio album from 1990 entitled “Tower Of Spite”. The DIY skate/thrash/grindcore approach of the previous album had been consigned to history and the band started afresh with an effort which was more composed, both musically and in terms of production quality – as would be expected from a switch to a major label. New digipak edition of the album includes 11 bonus tracks taken from the "Live at the Barrel Organ 20th March 1990 bootleg". Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc, limited to 2000 copies.
Re-release of “Tower Of Spite” is scheduled for 13th October 2008 in Europe and 25th November 2008 in USA (via MVD).

Cerebral Fix – English thrash/death metal band formed in Birmingham in 1986 by Simon Forrest on vocals, Gregg Fellows and Tony Warburton on guitars, Adrian Jones on drums and Paul Adams on bass. Thanks to their successful demos "We Need Therapy" and "Product of Disgust" from 1987, the band signed a record deal with an independent label, Vinyl Solution. Soon after that, Paul Adams left the band and formed a band called Reprisal, which later became Benediction. He was replaced by Steve Watson, and the band entered the Loco Studio in South Wales to record their first album "Life Sucks… And Then You Die!" released in 1988. The band promoted this album by touring the UK with bands such as Bolt Thrower, Deviated Instinct, Doom, Electro Hippies, Hellbastard, and Hard-Ons. The album gained further exposure by having several tracks played on the famous BBC Radio 1's John Peel show. Adrian Jones and Steve Watson left the band in 1989 and ex-Sacrilege members, Frank Healy and Andy Baker, joined the band. A new demo "Tower of Spite" gained an interest of the Roadrunner Records – a well-known record label specializing in heavy metal. To announce the new record deal, Roadrunner Records set up a supporting slot for the band with Sepultura at The Marquee Club in London. In 1990, the second album "Tower of Spite" was released. It featured a guest vocal performance by Blaze Bayley and was promoted during a tour with American death metal band, Obituary. The band's fourth and final album to date "Death Erotica" was released in 1992 by the British label Music For Nations. Guest vocals in various tracks were supplied by members of Napalm Death and Pop Will Eat Itself. As a part of the promotion Celebral Fix toured with doom metal band, Paradise Lost. But soon after, Frank Healy and Gregg Fellows decided to leave the band. Jake Morgan, a Discharge bass player, and the original Cerebral Fix member Steve Watson joined the band for the European leg of the tour with Cancer. Returning to the UK for another tour, Gregg Fellows stepped-in the band and Nicholas Barker of Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth temporarily filled in on drums. In 2007 Metal Mind Productions released a box entitled “Products of Disgust” with the complete discography of Cerebral Fix. Box consist of 4 CDs (all with bonus tracks: demo, unreleased and live tracks), a 32-page booklet with full band history and 4 premiere tracks recorded exclusively for this box!! Special 4 CD edition was limited to 2000 numerated copies.
