THE CHASM intervju

THE CHASM intervju

Les hvordan Imhoteps Roy Kristensen treffer bullseye under sitt intervju med death metal bandet THE CHASM. Intervjuet er 2-delt og inneholder flere interessesante emner rundt og omkring dette unike bandet som opprinnelig kommer fra Mexico.

Utkast fra intervjuet:
“The Ecstasy Of Pain And Destruction” has some acoustic guitars that lift the music, and the track changes all the time. Still, it’s interesting how you manage to maintain the same atmosphere throughout the track (and the album for that matter), despite the changes in tempo. Is it important to you and The Chasm that the darkened atmosphere is kept intact all the time?

“You really hit the bull’s-eye, I think that is one of the most ,if not, the most important aspect of our music, to create and keep an atmosphere of obscure feelings all over the songs, it is an aspect that we think it has been getting lost in this music, so many bands are trying to sound as lightly/feminine melodic as possible, with retarded rhythms and annoying vocals, and some of them still call themselves Death Metal, so pathetic…anyway, yes, sometimes we create somehow complex/varied songs, but all the structure and variation would be useless without the main dark feeling haunting inside the song”
