A TRIBUTE TO KREATOR – 21 bands pay homage to German thrash metal legends
- Posted on 19-10-2026
Kreator have been a major force in thrash metal since the early days of the German scene. From the raw aggression of Pleasure to Kill and Flag of Hate to the more varied material that followed in later years, the band’s catalogue has given generations of metal fans plenty to remember, and plenty of riffs to learn the hard way.
On November 6, Antichrist magazine will release A Tribute To Kreator, featuring 21 bands from 11 countries taking on songs from across the band’s career. The lineup brings together acts from Germany, Serbia, Poland, the UK, Turkey, Sweden, Brazil, the Netherlands, Australia, Norway and the USA, with each contributing its own version of a Kreator track.
The tracklist covers a wide stretch of the band’s history. Early classics such as Pleasure to Kill, Flag of Hate, Betrayer and Tormentor sit alongside later material including Violent Revolution, Phobia, Impossible Brutality and Demon Prince. The selection also reaches beyond the most obvious choices, with Endorama, Black Sunrise, Golden Age and Stream of Consciousness representing other corners of the Kreator catalogue.
It’s a varied selection, and that’s part of the appeal. Kreator‘s music has changed over the decades, but the band’s place in thrash metal has remained firmly established. This tribute brings together bands with different backgrounds and approaches to revisit that material, from the best-known songs to tracks that deserve another spin.
A Tribute To Kreator will be released on November 6, 2026, via Antichrist magazine and will be available on Bandcamp and YouTube.
