Iconic musician and producer Peter Tägtgren has shaped the sound of metal for decades. What started in 1996 as a side project to explore soundscapes beyond his work with Hypocrisy quickly evolved into a global phenomenon. With catchy hooks, dark humor, and a unique mix of electro and heavy music, PAIN has stood the test of time.

Following the massive success of their latest album „I Am“, the buzz has ignited a huge demand for the band’s early classics—many of which have been out of print for years and never available on yvinl. Now, the self-titled debut „Pain“ (1996), its successor „Rebirth“ (1999), and the fifth studio album „Psalms Of Extinction“ (2007) finally get the treatment they deserve. Remastered by Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studios, these milestones will be released in their definitive editions on May 15th, 2026.
