BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME – interview with Tommy Rogers

Our resident U.S. reviewer, ER, chatted with Between The Buried And Me (BTBAM) lead vocalist, keyboardist and lyricist, Tommy Giles Rogers Jr., on the occasion of their 11th full length “The Blue Nowhere”, out on September 12th, 2005 via Inside Out Music.

Beginning with the band’s name (reportedly from a Counting Crows lyric!) Tommy shared what inspired BTBAM to break boundaries and expectations in progressive metal, but ER and he also seemed to have connected on a existential, philosophical and spiritual level, with the conversation as inspired, seamless, fluid and free flowing as any of the BTBAM records. The interview ended with a possibility of another one, more focused on the new record around the time ER shall publish his review of the new album.
