Introduce your band, and describe your latest release:
Hi I am Kevin Grams, vocalist, guitar player and songwriter of MAGEFA. MAGEFA is a death metal band with a great variety in term of genres and influences used in the songs. Our coming release is a single and is called “Bombs Over Europe”
What’s the hardest part about being a band in this day and age?
The constant pressure of being a band and also digital creator. There is such a mass of good bands out there with affordable recording equipment which get cheaper by the day that we have to promote ourselves constantly.
When did you realise that your project had the potential to be much more than just a fun idea?
I always wanted our music to be heard around the globe and with achieving that there has to be a way for even more.
Tell us about your coming release, why should we check it out?
“Bombs Over Europe” which is coming on October 20th is a high energetic, powerful but also a song with strong emotions. In center of it all a conflict that gets close to a nuclear annihilation.
How does a song typically come together for you?
I normally write the foundation of the song and we all get our heads into the song to make it our masterpiece.
How would you describe your sound to an unfamiliar reader?
A diversified death metal experience.
What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your band?
I want them to have a good time listening wether they work, run, shit or getting drunk with people.
Where would you really like to tour that you haven’t done so yet, and why?
We would like to tour everywhere but we all have a dayjob so far and no one could afford to quit or being unpaid while touring because we have families to feed. When we get more from touring this question might be different though.
How would you say that the sound of your band has progressed over the years?
We’ve gone from the wild untamed sound we did in the beginning to more thoughtful songwriting that has a better hearing experience. We have more space to breathe in the new songs (especially me who has to sing it) and also leave room for a listeners thoughts.
How excited are you for 2025, and what can fans expect from you?
We are currently in the songwriting phase of a new LP coming out late 2025 where I can say it will be awesome and are currently more creative than in a long time. So follow us on our social media and stay tuned for more to come up.
