CHILD OF CAESAR – Love in Black

They say you have forever to work on your first album – and in the case of German gothic rock/ metal outfit Child of Caesar, that statement rings true. 3 years in the making, "Love in Black" has an alluring quality to these arrangements, Daniel Mitchell the ideal vocalist to convey sorrow, bliss, despair, and any kind of emotion necessary while the quartet back him through powerful riff and mid-tempo groove combinations.
Imagine taking on everything from Sentenced and HIM to a little bit of modern metal stomp in terms of the rhythmic sensibilities from drummer Dino Cadavian, and you can understand why everything from the darker "Gates", Paradise Lost-ish "You", or charging gothic anthem-oriented title cut hits home their talent in performance, writing, and execution. Exciting and moving, Child of Caesar will be a band to check into again and again as a rising supernova on the scene.
