KING DIAMOND – Dreams of Horror

The 23 tracks on offer here have been chosen by Andy LaRoque and King D from the Roadrunner and Metal Blade back catalogue, so they cover the band’s full career. All of the material has been remastered and ‘enhanced’ to what Andy and Kingy D would refer to as ‘ultimate editions’. I don’t have loads of KD in my collection, so I haven’t suffered from the confusion that greets long term listeners – that ‘yeah I like it, but I grew up with it this way and prefer that’ kind of feeling. But it all sounds pretty good to me.
Fans of than band can simply look at the tracklisting to see if this release is something that takes their fancy. For those who haven’t really had a chance to get into King Diamond and his eerie haunted-house narratives, this is a great opportunity to get into the band. I mean, how can you argue with 23 tracks chosen and remastered by the band?
