ANGELS OF BABYLON – Thundergod

Featuring ex-Manowar drummer Kenny ‘Rhino’ Earl, the heavy metal band Angels of Babylon return with their second album "Thundergod". The 11 songs run the gamut from all out double bass monsters such as "King of All Kings" and the title cut to more epic anthems such as "Sondrio" and "What Have You Become"- tailor made for people into Dio, Manowar, and classic power metal. Expect elements of keyboard bombast, searing solo work, and the overwhelming need to plunge into dungeons and dragons territory with the lyrical focus.
I must admit I need to be in the right frame of mind to handle a lot of the clichés prevalent here- but "Thundergod" is great to pound your chest with if you need that ‘fight for freedom’ record.
