INSIDEAD – Chaos ElecDead

Greek modern thrash from this quartet, the debut album from Insidead “Chaos ElecDead” is another decent attempt at musically bridging the old school philosophy with new breakdown aggressive ethics. Winning the Wacken Metal Battle competition in 2009, you can hear through material like “Blood 4 Blood” and “Rise My Head” the band have the spirit of Bay Area thrash in their hearts – but vocally guitarist George T. just has a plain, conventional scream core attitude that renders every song interchangeable and flat. And don’t get me started on the clean vocals within “Away From Me” – they just need a vocal coach or should trash this aspect for sanity’s sake.
Imagine Unearth and Soulfly invading the West Coast thrash scene during its later 80’s/ early 90’s time period and you’ll get the reference points for this 9 song platter.
