Forming in 2007, this Danish quintet kick out a slice of metal leaning in the hard rock meets power groove camp for their "Black Out Sunday" debut. Jackie Petersen’s enthralling melodic voice carries the weight of my positive impression. Musically Chainfist love Pantera, 90’s Metallica, current Kiss and possibly the newer wave of Disturbed/ Sevendust with their riff attack and insistence on movable grooves.
Adequate doesn’t get the job done in my book – not with thousands of releases bidding for limited attention and financial support. Better luck next time Chainfist.
