In 2007 Gang Green celebrates their silver anniversary: 25 years of drinking, partying and infecting the punk/hardcore scene with their twisted music. The band decided to go on an anniversary tour, starting in Texas and covering the States, Europe and Japan. Gang Green also began working on a new album… But today Metal Mind Productions present a re-release of the three Gang Green's albums: "You Got It", "Older… Budweiser" & "Can't Live Without It".
 
"You got it", released back in 1987, is still considered to be one of the best offerings by the Boston group, beginning the most fruitful period in their whole career, including songs like "We'll Give It to You" and "Born To Rock", which are always present in Gang Green's live repertoire. The album still surprises the listeners with fresh, catchy compositions which to this day remain a genuine party material.
 
"Older… Budweiser" was a follow-up to the successful "You Got It" LP. The musical style continued to venture towards metal-oriented regions, but still remained true to the band's hardcore/punk roots. The album, released in 1989, featured some of the best tracks in the band's whole career – "We Can Go", "Just One Bullet" and "Bedroom of Doom" are still played on gigs nowadays. Today "Older… Budweiser" hasn't lost anything from its effectiveness, showcasing the band in its best form and contributing to the most fruitful era of Gang Green's history. New remastered edition of the album includes bonus tracks taken from the "I81B4U" EP !
 
"Can't Live Without It" – a recording of a stunning performance the band gave at the Marquee Club in London, UK on the 25th of February, 1990. The set covered all of Gang Green's greatest hits, from the classic tracks such as "Rabies" and the extremely popular "Alcohol" to newer material from the albums "You Got It" from 1987 and "Older… Budweiser" from 1989. The line-up featured a new bassist Josh Pappe (ex-D.R.I.), who replaced Joe Gittleman. Overall, the show was an unforgettable experience and showcased all the strongest points of the band's music. You can surely say that this is Gang Green at its best! The new remastered edition of the album includes 2 bonus tracks.
 
Classic material from Roadrunner Records archives in a new digipak editions. All titles, re-issued on golden discs, are remastered using 24-bit process and limited to numerated 2000 copies. Release date: 10th September in Europe and on 30th October in USA (via MVD).

Bio
The beginnings of the band reach out back to 1980. The line-up consisted of Steve MacDonald, Mark Foley, Bill Manley and Mike Dean. Chris Doherty was at that time their manager – the fact that he was just 13 didn't really bother anyone. The group's first show, however, featured Doherty as the fifth musician, mainly because a day before the show he got his '68 Fender Mustang guitar and was desperate to try it out. The first performance was at a little league opening day ceremony in Braintree, Massachusetts. The group was asked to play the national anthem, but instead of that they just started off with their own material, which featured nothing more than pure sonic destruction, leaving the parents horrified by the event they witnessed. After that event, Steve and Mark, decided that this group was not exactly what they had in mind and quit. The rest of the young musicians definitely wanted to continue this particularly chaotic and destructive punk crusade, so they remained a three-piece. The boys kept rehearsing in Mike's attic until one day Springa from SSD, a band from a nearby town of Quincy heard their practice and recorded it on tape. After the guys stopped playing he asked them if they will they open for SSD in two weeks time. So basically the band had a first serious gig in two weeks and that was all the time Doherty had to finally learn how to play the guitar. After three days of brainstorming they finally came to the conclusion that punk rock is just not enough: "Why don't we just play as fast as we can possibly play, faster than anybody has tried to play before & see how it turns out?". The gig turned out to be a success. Gang Green continued playing at local sites and soon established quite a strong fan-base in Braintree. The word was out and it wasn't long until the band got noticed by Modern Method, who were doing a documentary compilation of the Boston hardcore scene called "This Is Boston Not L.A.". Gang Green recorded ten tracks, out of which seven got onto the record. The session itself was rather an intensive event. The whole recording process was monitored by Michael Bastarache (aka Mr. B), who eventually helped the band bring out what was best in them, although it required a lot of work and sacrifice from both sides. Still, the days of glory didn't last for long. Due to some personal problems the group disbanded and all the musicians went in their own directions. In 1985, Doherty decided to recover his original group. Soon Gang Green spawned their first reunion single – "Skate to Hell"/"Alcohol". 1986 brought along an EP called "Drunk and Disorderly, Boston MA", which was merely an appetizer for the main course, which was the first-ever full-length album "Another Wasted Night". Soon after, Gang Green recorded their first album for Roadrunner Records. Immediately preceded by an EP "P.M.R.C. Sucks", "You Got It" was released in 1987 and showcased a more 'metalized' side of the band. Another EP followed in 1988, this time mocking Van Halen's "OU812" album – the title of Gang Green's offering was "I81B4U", a clear parody of the mentioned classic. 1989 brought "Older…Budweiser", another full-length release with the same musical stylistics as on "You Got It". After some line-up changes the band recorded their last offering for Roadrunner Records – "Can't Live Without It". After that the label dropped Gang Green and the band soon fell apart again. In 1997 the once again re-reformed group recorded an entirely new album for called "Another Case of Brewtality".
