FUGIT ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM “WHERE FOXES SAY GOODNIGHT”, OUT 17 OCTOBER 2026
Italian blackgaze / post-black metal / ambient project Fugit, led by multi-instrumentalist Andrea Milan, will self-release its eleventh full-length, “Where Foxes Say Goodnight”, on 17 October 2026. The five-track, 42-minute album blends black metal, doom metal, ambient and psychedelic acoustic passages, with lyrics in English and Italian.
Fugit has been active since 2014 and has put out 26 releases in all. Andrea Milan wrote, played, sang and recorded everything himself at his own studio, FugitLab; the album was mixed and mastered at Nekkomix.
The opening track, “To —”, sets a poem by Edgar Allan Poe. The closing track, “Strati”, ends on a quotation from Blaise Pascal: “the eternal silence of these infinite spaces frightens me”. The cover is built on Hermann Kaulbach’s painting “The Fairy of the Moon” (1846-1909).
The album is a record about night and distance: a sleeping city seen from the outside, and an upward look that offers no comfort.
