MEDUSA – Groundbreaking Concert Movie Released

London-based punk singer and guitarist has directed a unique and groundbreaking concert movie for their band Medusa, which has just been released. The film has already drawn the attention of the BFI, who are considering archiving it for its cultural significance, and Sky Arts, who are currently reviewing it for potential broadcast. The project began when Medusa performed a gig on a boat on the River Thames, captured with cinema-grade cameras in an ambitious attempt to independently create a high-quality cinematic concert film. Originally intended to document only that performance, the project faced major setbacks at almost every stage, forcing additional filming and expanding the scope of the movie far beyond its initial concept. After 3.5 years of persistence and reinvention, the finished film has finally been released and is now available to watch on YouTube!

It’s also searchable on TVs with YouTube with the words Medusa Live in London: The Motion Picture

The film features marionette and cartoon sequences, designed based on the artists and the boat and used wittily to complete the visuals as needed.
